Ajith Kumar’s Vivegam released yesterday. The film proved to be an ineffective star vehicle full of standard Tamil cinema tropes and an inability to focus anywhere beyond its lead.
Around twenty percent of the film is just Ajith Kumar walking towards and away from the camera. The fans go wild as Anirudh’s BGM blares out from the speakers. If nothing else, this film is an example of the way a ‘mass’ music composer can make an ordinary film seem mildly interesting.
