After collaborating with Vishal on his previous two releases – Irumbu Thirai and Sandai Kozhi 2, Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose music for the actor’s upcoming movie with Anand. The film, initially rumoured to be a sequel to the actor’s 2017 hit Irumbu Thirai, is based on a fresh script, said the actor’s spokesperson.

Talking to Silverscreen, the spokesperson said “Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose the music for the movie.” However, the movie is not a sequel to Irumbu Thirai. The yet-to-be-titled film is based on a fresh story. “In fact, the story came to the actor even before Irumbu Thirai happened,” he added.

Vishal also has Thupparivalan 2 on the cards. “The team is currently scouting locations for the movie.” Thupparivalan starred Vishal as a detective, with Vinay playing the villain, and Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel, Andrea Jeremiah in important roles. The story was about the detective who traces clues to several cases while helping a young boy find the murderer of his dog. The film and its hero was loosely inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective character Sherlock Holmes.

Vishal, who is currently in Turkey shooting for the Sundar C film, will be back only by the end of the month. The movie, produced by Trident Arts, marks the third collaboration between Vishal and Sudar C after Aambala and Madha Gadha Raja. Tamanna and Aishwarya Lekshmi play the female leads in the film. The film made headlines when Vishal suffered an injury while shooting a chase sequence for the movie.

Vishal is currently awaiting the release of Ayogya, directed by Venkat Mohan. The film faced a roadblock when its first-look poster created a controversy. Ayogya is now scheduled to hit screens on May 10. The film is a remake of Jr NTR’s Telugu film Temper, and stars Raashi Khanna, Parthiban, Pooja Devariya, and Devadarshini.
