While details about the size and cost of this project are not known, the actor’s manager told Silverscreen that water tanks were sent to different areas in north Karnataka, “This year we have started with 25 villages in and around the three locations. In 2018, Yashomarga funded the rejuvenation of a 100-acre dry lake which supplied water to 250 surrounding villages. Feed was also provided to the cattle that were abandoned in these areas.”

Their work in Koppal district’s Tallur village of Yelburga taluk made headlines in 2017 when a 96-acre lake was rejuvenated at the cost of Rs 4 crores. A report by Bangalore Mirror says that Radhika and Yash funded silt removal work for the lake to get natural spring water of 8 feet. This was aimed to meet the water needs of around 10,000 people living within 20 km radius of the lake. Following reports about it, many farmers and organisations undertook silt removal projects, including the residents of 20 villages in the drought hit Kushtagi taluk of Koppal district where a 300-acre lake was reportedly revived.

This is Yash’s most ambitious project till date with a story inspired by real events that took place at the Gold Fields in the 70s. Chapter 1 was big hit even before release, and earned close to 250 crore worldwide. The makers said that while the first part centred on Yash’s rise as a gangster in the mines, the second installment will focus on his challenges.
