Director Prashanth, a former associate of director Hari, will be debuting as the solo-director with a suspense-thriller, Yaanum Theeyavan, featuring newcomers Ashwin and Varsha in the lead. At the press meet of Yaanum Theeyavan, Prashanth said he had assembled a young team for the film, which is based on a true story. 18 days of shooting have already been completed in Chennai. The lead characters will portray young college graduates. Other actors in the film include well-known choreographer Raju Sundaram, actor Santhana Bharathi, director Raja, and actor VTV Ganesh. VTV Ganesh’s character will provide the comic relief in the film.
Music director Achu Rajamani, who has worked on Urumeen and Maalai Pozhuthin Myakathinile, has composed four songs for Yaanum Theeyavan. Lyricists Kabilan and Mani Amudhavan have written the songs. Produced by Peppy Cinemas, the film also has on board cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, and editor GK Prasanna of Maari fame.
