Announcements about the team for Vijay Sethupathi’s next with director Vijay Chandar (of the Vikram starrer Sketch fame) is getting interesting. The latest update is that the musical duo Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon have joined as composers for the film. Earlier it was speculated that D Imman may be the composer.

The young musical duo, made their debut in Vadacurry directed by Saravana Rajan. As the songs in the film became an instant hit, the two of them went on to sign movies like Pugazh, Dora, Gulaebaghavali and Mohini, all of which had a good critical response from the audience.
They will be composing for the upcoming Dhanush and RS Durai Senthilkumar movie, which is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. It is also rumored that they are in talks to compose for Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming biggie.
Yesterday, it was announced that actress Raashi Khanna will be playing the female lead in the Vijay Chandar film. Said to be a commercial family entertainer, the film will focus on the life of the people in North Madras, similar to Sketch.

The director told The Indian Express, “North Madras played a key role in my previous film, and so it does in my next film. Usually, North Chennai has a different look from other parts of the city — be it in terms of the place or the people. There’s so much to explore further.”
“I have been working on this script even before the release of Sketch. Sethu anna and I often bounce off ideas. When I approached him with this one, he liked it. He will be get a makeover in this film, with loads of action sequences. Anal Arasu has lot of interesting ideas about presenting the stunt sequences in a never-seen-before way,” he said about the film.
While the details regarding the remaining cast and crew is a suspense, it has been announced that actor Soori will join the film. This marks his third collaboration with Sethupathi, after Sundarapandiyanand Rummy. Produced by Vijaya Productions, the film will have cinematography by Velraj. The shoot will commence from March.
