After the success of Ratchasan, actor Vishnu Vishal is gearing up for the release of his next film Silukkuvarupatti Singam directed by Chella Ayyavu. The film will hit screens on December 21.
Produced by Vishnu himself under the banner Vishnu Vishal Studioz, the film is his third production. Chella Ayyavu worked as an AD for last year’s super hit comedy film Velainu Vandhuttua Vellaikaaran starring Vishnu and Nikki Galrani in the lead.
Silukkuvarupatti Singam is a comedy drama, also featuring Oviya and Regina Cassandra alongside Vishnu. The music for the film is composed by Leon James. Talking about roping in Oviya for the film, Vishnu said: “I requested Oviya to listen to the story and she was impressed with Chella’s narration and got on board. She will feature in a song and in four important sequences in the movie. It was nice of her to heed my request.”

It is also said that the actor did not cast Oviya for her popularity after Bigg Boss Tamil, but had roped her in even before the show. There were rumors that she had bagged the Bigg Boss offer on the sets of Silukkuvarupatti Singam.
Vishnu Vishal will soon be making his Telugu debut with Aranya in which he will share screen space with Rana Daggubati. Originally directed in Tamil by Prabhu Solomon as Kaadan (yet to release), the movie is simultaneously being made in Hindi under the title Haathi Mere Saathi.
On the work front, Vishnu also has Veera Dheera Sooran, Jagajala Killadi by Ezhil of Thulladha Manamum Thullum fame and Idam Porul Yaeval by Seenu Ramasamy which features Vijay Sethupati and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles.
Regina, who was last seen in Mr Chandramouli directed by Thiru, has Nenjam Marappathillai, a horror thriller directed by Selvaraghavan and the comedy drama Party directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Oviya has Oviyava Vitta Yaaru directed by Rajadurai, Ganesha Meendum Santhipom, Muni 4: Kanchana 3 directed by Raghava Lawrence, Kalavani 2 by A Sarkunam and 90 ml by Anita Udeep of Kulir 100 Degree fame.
