Vishnu Vishal Buys The Hindi Remake Rights To ‘Ratchasan’

Ratsasan Movie Stills Starring Vishnu Vishal

Vishnu Vishal, the lead actor of Ratchasan, put an end to rumours and confirmed that he has bought the Hindi remake rights to the movie even before it hit the screens. Also featuring Amala Paul, the psychological thriller that released last week is currently running in theatres and has received good reviews.

The actor thanked his producers via a tweet yesterday and said that he felt confident enough with the movie that he went ahead and bought the rights without waiting to see how it performed at the box office.

Directed by Mundasupatti fame Ram Kumar, Ratchasan has Vishnu Vishal essay the role of a cop on the chase for a serial killer who is after young girls. The director had confirmed his next project with Dhanush ahead of the release of this movie.

Vishnu Vishal had said that what appealed to him most was the script of Ratchasan. Talking about the movie in an interview, he said “I loved the detailing Ramkumar lent the psycho’s point of view. It is very interestingly narrated and there’s a strong emotional connect. The best part is that there is very little violence or gore. It also has a message of sorts for young girls: be aware of what’s happening around you and stay careful.”

The actor will soon be making his debut in Telugu with Aranya, where he will share screen space with Rana Daggubati. Originally directed in Tamil by Prabu Solomon as Kaadan, the movie is simultaneously being made in Hindi too under the title Haathi Mere Saathi.

Talking about his future projects, the actor added, “I have six films in hand, including two that I am producing.” Some of them are Silukkuvarupatti Singam, Veera Dheera Sooran, Jagajala Killadi and Idam Porul Yaeval which features Vijay Sethupati and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles.
