Vishal Krishna’s ‘Ayogya’ To Hit Screens On April 19

Vishal Krishna’s Ayogya directed by debutant Venkat Mohan, a former assistant of AR Murugadoss, will hit screens on April 19.  The news was officially announced by the actor on his twitter handle. He also announced that the theatrical rights for the film was acquired by Screen Scene Media Entertainment.

Jointly produced by Vishal Film Factory and Tagore Madhu, Ayogya is Vishal’s 26th film as an actor. Raashi Khanna plays the female lead in the film. R Parthiepan, KS Ravikumar, Sachu, Vamsi and Pooja play other roles. Sam CS is the music composer, R Karthik is the DOP, and Ruben is the editor. The film will also have Shraddha Das, who is making her Tamil debut with a song in the film.

The teaser of the film, which was unveiled in February featured Vishal as a cop who was the opposite to of his name Karna in the film. He is seen in casual clothes throughout the teaser, and is addicted to money, in the same way that some people are addicted to women and power, he says. The teaser also had Sonia Agarwal, who plays a person in power, and is looking tensed as she is questioned by the media. The teaser is pack with punches and vigorous stunts on the whole. Parthiepan plays the antagonist who is looking out for people whose discipline and attitude is worse than his.

The film’s original version in Telugu, Temper, released in 2015. It was an action film written by Vakkantham Vamsi and directed by Puri Jagannadh with Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal playing lead roles. The film is said to revolve around a heinous rape and how it changes a corrupt police officer. It may be noted that Temper was recently remade in Hindi as Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, and the film has turned out to be a blockbuster.
