‘Vikram Vedha’ Likely To Be Remade In Hindi & Telugu

Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s Vikram Vedha, directed by Pushkar and Gayathri, is likely to be remade in Hindi and Telugu. Talking to Silverscreen, the producer of Vikram Vedha, Shashikanth says, “Too early to reveal any details about the remake. But yes, talks are on for the remake. For now, nothing is confirmed.”

The film opened to an overwhelmingly positive response and is doing well at the box-office despite the new GST.

Vikram Vedha is about how an encounter operation turns into a personal relationship between the notorious gangster Vedha and an encounter specialist Vikram. Given that it was Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s show all the way, it will be challenging for the makers of the remake to find a replacement for both actors.

Reports indicate that Madhavan will play Vikram in the Hindi version, and may take up the role of Vedha in the Telugu remake. Meanwhile, given the number of films that Vijay Sethupathi has committed to this year in Tamil, he is unlikely to play a role in either remake.
