Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Super Deluxe’ Distribution Rights Acquired By YNOTX

The distribution rights of the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Super Deluxe has been acquired by the newly founded firm YNOTX, a collaboration venture of YNot studios’ Shashikant, Reliance Entertainment, AP International and Trident Arts. The film is directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja of National award winning film Aaranya Kaandam fame.

The distribution company made an official announcement on their Twitter handle recently.

According to a report, Sashikanth said, “YNOTX is proud to be associated with Super Deluxe as our maiden venture. We truly believe that the film is going to be a path-breaking motion picture for Tamil Cinema and is surely bound to achieve great success at the Box Office and garner International attention. Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s extraordinary talent, efforts and passion have all helped mould a great film, which will be nothing short of delight for moviegoers.”

The second look poster of the film is expected to release today.

Super Deluxe is directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, eight years after the release of his previous film Aaranya Kaandam for which he had won the National Film Award for Best First Film by a Director. It is written by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, along with Mysskin, Nalan Kumarasamy, and Neelan K. Sekar. Music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is produced by Thiagarajan Kumararaja under the banner Tyler Durden and Kino Fist along with EastWest Dream Work Entertainment & Alchemy Vision Workz.

Said to be a thriller, the film is set in the backdrop of the 2016 Chennai floods. It stars Vijay Sethupathi as trans woman Shilpa. The film also features Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin and Bhagavathi Perumal in pivotal roles. It is said that the film has been receiving rave reviews from several special screenings.

Talking about the film in an earlier interview with The New Indian Express, Vijay Sethupathi said that Super Deluxe was an experience that could be summed up in two words: Thiagarajan Kumararaja.
