The official teaser of Sanga Thamizhan, starring Vijay Sethupathi, is out. Directed by Vijay Chandar, the film co-stars Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead and reportedly has Sethupathi in a dual role.

Sethupathi packs a punch in the teaser, which introduces his character and promises action and comedy. The second-look of the film was also released yesterday.

On August 1, Raashi Khanna posted on Twitter that the film wrapped up shoot, and shared pictures with the cast. Soori plays an important role in the film. This is his third movie with Sethupathi after Sundarapandiyan and Rummy.

Sanga Thamizhan will reportedly be about the lives of the people in North Madras, similar to Vijay Chandar’s 2018 film Sketch.

The director told The Indian Express, “North Madras played a key role in Sketch and it does in my next film too. This part of the city has a lot to explore.” He said the film is a mass, commercial and family entertainer, and added, “I have been working on this script even before the release of Sketch. Sethu anna and I often bounce off ideas. When I approached him with this one, he liked it. He will get a makeover in this film, with lots of action sequences. Stunt master Anal Arasu has many interesting ideas about presenting the stunt sequences in a never-seen-before way.”
