Actor Vijay Sethupathi is writing the script and dialogue for actor Vikranth’s upcoming film, to be directed by his elder brother Sanjeev.
In a statement to the press, director Sanjeev, who had earlier directed Thaaka Thaaka featuring Vikranth in the lead, said: “I happened to meet Vijay Sethupathi sir some years back. I told him the gist of the story. After listening to it, he said he liked it and that it would be apt for Vikranth. Not just that, he also asked if he could write the dialogue for the film. I wondered how he would be able to do that as he is quite busy, but he said we can work during the spare time he has.”
Sanjeev added that the actor kept his word by working on the script post shoot. He said: “Vijay Sethupathi would contact me in the night after completing his shooting schedules and discuss the story. He improvised the script.”
Vikranth took to Twitter to express his gratitude to the actor.

Last seen in Nenjil Thunivirundhal directed by Suseenthiran, Vikranth is currently working on Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2 directed by Selva Sarvanan, Suttu Pidikka Utharavu (co-starring Mysskin) directed by Ramprakash Rayappa and Bakrid directed by Jagadeesan Subu.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi, whose ‘96 with Trisha is still talked about, is currently awaiting the release of Seethakaathi directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan of Naduvula Konja Pakkatha Kaanom fame. He is also working on Super Deluxe directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Idam Porul Yaeval by Seenu Ramasamy, a Telugu film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in which he stars alongside Chiranjeevi. The yet-to-be-titled films include one helmed by Seenu Ramansamy, produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja with music by Ilaiyaraaja, another with Arun Kumar of Sethupathi fame also starring Anjali. Music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the venture is jointly produced by YSR Films and SN Raja’s K Productions.
