Vijay Deverakonda Trains Under Bike Racer Rajini Krishnan for ‘Hero’

Actor Vijay Deverakonda is reportedly currently training under Rajini Krishnan, the motorcycle racer who has won several championships, for his part as a bike racer in Hero. The film, directed by Anand Annamalai and co-starring Malavika Mohanan, was launched on May 19.

Malavika Mohanan is making her Telugu debut with Hero. She was last seen in Petta this year. She reportedly plays a musician in the film.

Director Koratala Siva launched the film produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Regular shooting is expected to begin soon. The film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Anand Annamalai, who has worked as the dialogue writer of Kaaka Muttai, is making his debut as a director with Hero. The film faced trouble in March when Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero was also launched with the same title. Director Annamalai had raised a complaint with the Tamil Film Producers’ Council, saying the title was registered with the Council a year ago and that they had proof for it. “It is shocking to see the announcement of Sivakarthikeyan’s film with the same title. We are not ready to sacrifice the title for anyone and have written a letter to the Producers Council,” he had said.

A letter issued by the TFPC had certified KJR Studios, the producers of Sivakarthikeyan’s film, as having registered the title in February 2019. However, it now looks like both films will release under the same title. Hero is a popular title for films. Back in 1984, Chiranjeevi acted in a film called Hero, directed by Vijaya Bapineedu. In 2008, Nithin also starred in a film with the same title.

Meanwhile, as reported in March, Vijay Deverakonda is training in Chennai to play a bike racer. It was said that the shoot for Hero will begin once he finishes his other films. The actor is currently awaiting the release of Dear Comrade with Rashmika Mandanna, directed by Bharat Kamma.
