Director Atlee will soon reunite with Vijay for the third time. The project is rumoured to be bankrolled by AGS Productions. The director told Silverscreen that it was too early to reveal too many details about the project. “I am working on the script with my team right now. We will go to Vijay anna soon for the final approval. After that, we will officially launch the project,” he said.
While acknowledging that the movie will be completely different from his previous films (Raja Rani, Theri and Mersal), Atlee also revealed that the budget of the new project would surpass that of all his previous works. “The entertainment we will provide through the movie will be at another level. It is going to be made on a scale unlike what anyone has done before,” he added.
However, a spokesperson for AGS dismissed the rumours of the company financing the film, now known as Vijay 63, as baseless. “If there is anything to announce, we will. For now, no comment,” the spokesperson said.
Vijay’s public relations officer also confirmed the project and said that an announcement will be made by October or November this year. “Vijay has agreed to collaborate with Atlee for the third time. This strong partnership has continuously worked well at the box office and has also provided content that makes people sit up and think. The third film will do so as well.”
Social media fans of Vijay have reacted positively to the news that the successful Atlee-Vijay combination is back for the third time. At present, Vijay is gearing up for the release of Sarkar with AR Murugadoss. The film, starring Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in important roles, is scheduled to hit screens this Deepavali.
