Actor-composer Vijay Antony is set for his next action thriller Agni Siragugal by director Naveen (Moodar Koodam fame). The film is said to be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. Shoot will happen simultaneously in both languages.
Vijay Antony, who was last seen in the police-action film Thimiru Pudichavan, will star in Agni Siragugal, along with Arun Vijay and Shalini Pandey in the lead.
Director Naveen said in a press statement, “Currently, we have completed screen tests for Vijay Antony, Arun Vijay and Shalini Pandey. Rehearsals are happening in full swing. First leg of shoot will being in January, and the shoot will happen in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.”
Director Naveen further added that Vijay Antony will go through a makeover for the film, and we might not recognize him at the first glance. “This wasn’t something intentional, but the role he plays demanded for certain changes in look. So we had started working on various looks and finally found the perfect one,” said Naveen.
When Naveen was further asked about details of the characters he said, “Revealing anything about the premise or characters will be a spoiler now. All that I can say is Agni Siragugal will be different from our previous films.”
Agni Siragugal is produced by T Siva of Amma Creations. It also stars Prakash Raj, Nasser, Jagapathy Babu and others in important roles.
Vijay Antony’s manager earlier told Silverscreen that the actor was happy to be part of the team. Arun Vijay too said, “Naveen has great talent, and I am eager to begin work on the project. I don’t want to be repetitive and say that this film will see me in a different role, but that is truly what Naveen has written for me.”
Natarajan Sankaran will compose music for the film. KA Batcha is the cinematographer. Both Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony are undergoing rigorous training for their roles in the film, the spokesperson said.
Naveen’s second film as a director was announced a few months back. It is said to be a fantasy film called Alauddhinin Arputha Camera. Naveen recently announced on social media that the project is complete and will release soon.
