Actress Vidya Balan has been conferred with an honorary doctorate by Rai University in Ahmedabad. According to a Times of India report, the actor has been given ‘Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa’ degree for her contribution to Indian Cinema and her constant efforts in showcasing the strong side of women through the movies.
The actress said she was hoping to live up to the title and also added that it feels good to be a role model to many people and leave a strong mark on the society.
Actress Vidya Balan is now awaiting the release of her upcoming film Hamari Adhuri Kahani with Emraan Hashmi.
