“The husband leaves when his wife talks back. Because of “family honor”, a working housewife must disclose her diary to her husband’s family. Sivaranjani, now a housewife, is too busy caring for members of her new family to do anything else. The film depicts, through 3 women in different eras, the never-ending reality behind female discrimination in India,” says the official festival website, about the film.

Based on stories by writers of acclaim Jeyamohan, Adhavan, and Ashoka Mithran, the film has Parvathy, Lakshmipriya, and Kalieaswari playing the lead. It has been on the festival circuit for a while now.

The film first premiered at the 2018 MAMI film festival in Mumbai and was also screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala. Earlier this year it won the ‘Best Film Award’ in the Asian cinema category at the Bangalore International Film Festival (Biffes).
