Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will soon make her Telugu debut with Sundeep Kishan in a Nageshwar Reddy directorial. She was last seen as a government official in the Dhanush and Sai Pallavi starrer Maari 2.
This morning, she tweeted that she will be starring alongside Sundeep Kishan and Hansika Motwani in the film. According to a report, she was offered an impactful role, and so she couldn’t say no.

While there has been no announcement about her character, there are speculations that she might play a key role in a courtroom with Sundeep as a lawyer. The film is also a Telugu comeback for Hansika who has been busy with Tamil films. Cinematography is by Sam K Naidu, and music is by Shekhar Chandra.
2018 was a promising year for Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. She was seen in important roles in a number of projects including the A R Murugadoss film Sarkar, the Balaji Mohan directorial Maari 2, and Sandakozhi 2 with Vishal. She also experimented with negative roles.

Recently, shoot began for her upcoming film Danny directed by Santhanamoorthy. It is produced by PG Muthiah and M Deepa for Blueberry Pictures. The film is said to revolve around the bond between animals and humans. She tweeted that she will be seen with a dog on screen. Velaramamoorthy, Yogi Babu, Saravanan Sakthi and Anitha Sampath have pivotal roles in the film.
Varalaxmi is currently working on Kanni Rasi, a comedy drama by Muthukumaran, Velvet Nagaram, a woman-centric psychological thriller directed by Manoj Kumar, Ammayi by G Shankar, Madha Gaja Raja with Vishal directed by Sundar C, and Neeya 2 by Suresh L. She also has a film with director JK in which she plays a disabled person. The film is expected to be a thriller.
