Actress Vanitha Vijaykumar is the second contestant to be removed from the Bigg Boss 3 house. This has come as a surprising move to many. Mohan Vaidya, Saravanan, Sakshi Agarwal, Madhumitha and Meera Mithun were also nominated for eviction.

Vanitha was in the middle of controversies in and outside the house since the show began in June. She was a much spoken about contestant for instigating fights and was accused of pitting housemates against each other.

In the third week, Abhirami Venkatachalam was the captain and Vanitha had a key role with the task of “killing” a few house mates along with Mugen Roa. She completed the tasks successfully, and was also nominated along with Sakshi Aggarwal and Mohan Vaidhya to be captain of the next week. In a later episode, housemates told the show’s host Kamal Haasan that she solved issues between them but was a troublemaker at times.

She was in the news earlier this month when the Telangana police landed at the Bigg Boss house to investigate a kidnapping case filed by her ex-husband, who accused her of keeping their minor daughter in hiding in Chennai. The spokesperson for the show said that the police conducted a formal enquiry, and it was reported that their daughter was also brought in to the house. She said that she was not kidnapped was happy to stay with her mother in Chennai. The police reportedly decided to resume the case after she left the house.

The spokesperson for Vijay TV said this would not affect the show. Because of these controversies it was speculated that Bigg Boss will not evict Vanitha to keep the TRP of the show up.

Vanitha was known for speaking her mind on the show, and after eviction she told Kamal Haasan that she gained strength from her daughters. In the latest episode, Meera Mitun said that she will replace Vanitha as the outspoken person in the house. 13 contestants are currently on the show. Fathima Babu was the first contestant to be evicted.
