Actor Vadivelu is likely to sign on to act in director Chimbu Deven’s next film. Unconfirmed reports from usually reliable sources indicated that this movie, to be titled Pattanathil 23 aam Pulikesi, will be a sequel to their Imsai Arasan 23 aam Pulikesi. Imsai Arasan, a period political drama, was Vadivelu’s first movie as a lead actor, and marked a very successful directorial debut for Chimbu Deven.
Vadivelu’s last outing – Tenaliraman – did not do well at the box office, and he has been looking for a strong script to salvage his career. It is also being rumoured that Tenaliraman director, Yuvraj, has approached Vadivelu with a new script.
