Actor Vishal’s upcoming film Paayum Puli received a U certificate from the Censor Board earlier this week. The actor has confirmed that there would be ‘a grand release’ on September 4 in both Tamil and Telugu (as Jayasurya).

Produced by Vendhar Movies, Paayum Puli portrays Vishal as an undercover police officer. Vendhar Movies had run into trouble after KS Ravikumar’s Lingaa failed to do well at the box office, and been involved in the distributors’ protest. Paayum Puli is Vendhar Movies’s next big release following the Lingaa debacle.
Directed by Suseenthiran, Paayum Puli features Vishal and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, along with a supporting cast including Samuthirakani, Soori, Nikitha Thukural, Jyoti Nooran, RK, Anandraj, Jayaprakash and Murali Sharma. The audio was launched on August 2 iu Chennai at Sathyam Cinemas.
