Ippadai Vellum To Aramm: Here’s A Look At The Films Slated For November Release

When Vishal, the president of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), had announced in October that no new Tamil films would release in protest against the double taxation, the release of quite a few films were stalled. Moreover, most of the screens were blocked for Mersal during the Diwali weekend, no major releases were planned around that time. Even Suseenthiran’s Nenjil Thunivirunthaal which was scheduled for Diwali was postponed. These films will now release in November.

Here’s a quick look at the film releases for November.

Ippadai Vellum on November 9

Gaurav Narayanan’s Ippadai Vellum, starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Manjima Mohan will have romance, action, comedy all rolled into one, along with a voiceover by Vijay Sethupathi.


Aramm on November 10

Aramm, a political drama, has Nayanthara playing the righteous collector in this film that revolves around water crisis in a remote village. Nayanthara, as the collector, tries to fight for the people, and against a corrupt government, which incidentally, she is a part of.

Nenjil Thunivirunthal on November 10

Known more for his rustic subjects, Suseenthiran has reportedly come up with a stylish and an urbane film.

Theeran Adhigarm Ondru on November 17

At the press meet of the film, producer SR Parbhu said that they were planning to release the film on November 17 and now it has been confirmed. Karthi plays a cop in this thriller directed by Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame.

Indrajith on November 24

Gautham Karthik’s Indrajith, bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu, which was due for release for a long time, will finally hit the screens this month. Gautham’s recent releases, Ivan Thanthiran and Hara Hara Mahadevaki had a decent run at the box office.


Annadurai on November 30

Vijay’s Antony’s Annadurai directed by Srinivasan is an emotional drama revolving around the lives of twin brothers Annaduraia and Thambidurai. Director said that the film also has an important social message.
