Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 3’ Will Release In March 2020

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala had earlier announced the sequel to Tiger Shroff’s 2016 movie Baaghi 2. Titled Baaghi 3, the movie is by director Sajid Khan, and will now release on March 6 2020.

Baaghi (2014), the first movie in the series featured Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, and was loosely based on the 20o4 Telugu film Varsham. Sabbir Khan, who had directed Shroff in his debut movie Heropanti, was the director of Baaghi. The movie was also partly inspired by the 2011 Indonesian film Raid.

Following the success of  Baaghi, the makers announced a sequel with a different director, Ahmed Khan. Baaghi 2 released in May earlier this year and was based on the 2016 Telugu movie Kshanam. Disha Patani had replaced Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead in the movie.

The movie became a success and was a career boost for Shroff whose previous releases A Flying Jatt (2016) and Munna Michael (2017) had performed dismally at the box office. The actor is currently shooting the sequel of Karan Johar’s 2012 film Student of The Year. Directed by Punit Malhotra, the film features debut actors Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

Tiger Shroff will also pair opposite Hrithik Roshan in director Siddharth Anand’s untitled project. Featuring Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, the movie is an action thriller, produced by Yash Raj Studios.

The movie’s release however, has been postponed. After shooting an action sequence, Shroff said in an NDTV report, “It was quite challenging and we tried to do different kinds of action in it. I am waiting for October, because then we will start the first schedule of the film.”

Speaking about the film’s release date, he said, “We have time for it. It will release on October 2 next year.”
