The trailer features a desperate 19-year-old Rohan, yearning to win the heart of Sameera (Hina Khan) by going to any extent – making her stick to her schedules, guarding her car parking space and whatnot.

When she refuses to accept his love, he turns her life into a nightmare, hacking all her accounts and personal information. But it just doesn’t stop there. We also find him blackmailing several other girls, taking unsolicited pictures of them, and ultimately ruining their lives.

The two-and-a-half minute trailer keeps you glued owing to the tension prevailing right through. Hina Khan performs well and doesn’t seem to resemble a debutant in the trailer.

Hina will essay an editor of a fashion magazine in the film. The thriller also features Mohit Malhotra and Sid Makkar in important roles. The film has Prakash Kutty handling cinematography, Kuldip Mehan editing, music by Jeet Gannguli, Arko, Amjad Nadeem Amir, Chirantan Bhatt, and Sunny Inder, and Priya and Satya handling production design. Shabina Khan is choreographing dance with Abbas Ali Moghul for action sequences.

Director Vikram Bhatt known for horror films like Raaz and 1920 said, “I have put aside the horrors of the spirit world to talk about the horrors of the real world. And our vulnerable lives on the internet is one such horror. It just takes one hacker with enough motivation to ruin your life. Hacked is a film about a single woman and such an obsessed hacker”.

He added, “My association with Zee has been an old one. Way back in 1996, it was with Zee that I had my first hit film Fareb which was followed by some very successful albums with Zee music. I am once again delighted to have Zee Studios as my partner for Hacked. It’s a new beginning with my old partners.”

Recently, the first look poster of the film was released.

The film which began shoot last August is set to hit screens on February 7, 2020.
