According to a report by Cinema Dinamalar, the shoot was rescheduled to accommodate Vijay’s visit abroad. The film’s spokesperson told Silverscreen there has been no delay, “Everything is proceeding as planned.”

The spokesperson also denied reports about changes in shoot location. It was said that the filmmakers have shifted the sets to a large indoor studio after fans of the actor began crowding on sets. “No such changes have been made, everything is as planned,” the spokesperson said.

Speculations say that a title and first-look poster may be unveiled on April 14. Huge sets of a football stadium is said to be constructed in Chennai’s East Coast Road.

As reported last month, excited fans have been following the actor to the shoot locations. Videos of this have gone viral online. A few fans are seen taking their bike and following Vijay’s car shouting ‘Thalaiva Thalaiva’, and Vijay asked them to go back and not follow him. In another incident, a group of fans standing on a fence to meet Vijay fell on the other side. Vijay and a few others went to their help.

Thalapathy 63 is reportedly not a regular sports drama, but an investigative thriller with a sports backdrop. Vijay said recently that the film was lighter than his previous ones.
