Thadam is the director’s fourth film and features three heroines in the lead – Tanya Hope, Vidya Pradeep and Smruthi Venkat. The music is composed by debutant Arun Raj.

It would be hard to believe that the beginning and end belonged to the same trailer if one were to take a look at them separately. The beginning shows Arun Vijay’s character wooing Tanya Hope and with them sharing a kiss inside a train. The viewer gets a glimpse of the romantic duet ‘Inayae’ sung by Sid Sriram and Padmalatha.

Quite abruptly the trailer then cuts to Smruthi Venkat’s character who claims that she has been lied to and very soon another version of Arun Vijay, not as different in looks as in attitude, emerges providing enough reason to believe the initial rumours that he played a double role in the film.

Yesteryear actor Soniya Agarwal too makes a brief appearance somewhere in the middle. In what is to be perceived as a clever move by the makers to create an air of mystery around her character, she is seen telling her kid, “I’m not that kind of woman.”

The trailer now juxtaposes visuals depicting a progressing investigation with that of unknown characters involved in illegal activities ranging from breaking and entering to a woman hanging from a ceiling.

The trailer claims that the movie has been based on ‘true stories.’ Yogi Babu, who has already been a part of a number of movies this year, makes an appearance here too. In fact he occupies the closing shot of the trailer suggesting a significant role for him in the film.
