Contrary to reports that actor Silambarasan would star in the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Temper (2015), reliable sources now confirm that it is actor Vishal who had been approached for the film. Moreover, he has reportedly signed the film as well. The remake will be directed by stunt choreographer Anal Arasu. Kajal Aggarwal, who had starred in the original, plays the female lead. The film will be produced by ‘Tagore’ Madhu. Madhu is also producing AR Murugadoss’ next project with Mahesh Babu.

Simbu, on the other hand, has told Sify.com, “It is up to the producer to take a call on this matter. I have agreed to two scripts which were offered to me and one among them is Temper remake. But now I hear that Vishal is hell-bent on doing it. Now it is the producer who will take a call on this matter, not me. I am cool and have no temper.”
Temper, starring Jr NTR and Kajal Aggarwal, was one of the most successful Telugu films in 2015. The plot revolves around a corrupt police officer who reforms.
