The co-producer of Queen’s Tamil remake, Karim Tshibangu, has alleged that he was not informed of the many changes in the film’s cast and crew, reports the Deccan Chronicle. The project was launched in 2014, with Tamannaah as the female lead. Since then it has been in developmental hell.
Tamannaah Bhatia walked out earlier this year, while director Revathy quit a little later.
Karim Tshibangu, the CEO of Golden Crab Film Production told the outlet,
“This is absolutely shocking and to know that these are happening without our permission infuriates us. This issue has to be solved amicably or it has to be dealt in the court.”
Though Tamannaah had walked out of the project, Karim had been hopeful of re-signing her once her other commitments had been met.
He said, “Tamannaah was busy with quite a number of projects in Tamil and Telugu. So, we thought we will continue talks once she is done with her present commitments. Meanwhile, the contract with Viacom was about to expire in the month of June. We didn’t want to lose the rights, so we decided to go ahead with the shoot without the female lead and director.”

However, plans to resign both Tamannaah and Revathy fell through. Recently, Ramesh Aravind was roped in to replace Revathy as the director. Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal has reportedly been signed for the lead role. Aravind has also said that he plans to shoot the film in Paris.
Karim, though, has obtained an injunction against the project.
“In order to continue filming in UK and Europe, the matter will have to be resolved in the UK High Court of Justice as the rights are rights are registered with the British Film Institute by our company,” he said.
