According to industry reports, a sequel to the highly successful film Endhiran is on the cards. Story discussion and pre-production work for Endhiran 2 have already commenced and an official announcement is expected shortly. Endhiran, directed by Shankar, is considered to be one of Rajinikanth’s career-best movies.

Two days ago, it was learned that cinematographer Nirav Shah had been roped in to crank the camera for Endhiran 2. However, efforts to get an official confirmation from the cinematographer have been in vain.
Endhiran had a star-studded cast with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai, along with Danny Denzongpa, Karunas, Santhanam, Kalabhavan Mani and Devadharshini in supporting roles. The music was scored by A R Rahman.
Actor Rajinikanth has now signed a movie which will be directed by Ranjith, of Madras fame. Shooting of this yet-to-be-titled film will begin in August.
