Swara Bhaskar Has A Fitting Reply For Trolls Criticizing Her Masturbation Scene In Veere Di Wedding

Being a celebrity is not just about glamour and glitz. There is a thorny side to this too. Bollywood stars getting trolled on social media has become a common thing and the recent victim of this is the Veere Di Wedding actress Swara Bhaskar. The film, released last Friday and received mixed responses. The plot revolves around four friends who live life on their own terms.

Even before its release, the film was under the scanner for its usage of foul words and now a bunch of people are trolling the movie for its sex scenes and cuss words. This has in turn, led to a lash out at Swara Bhaskar for masturbating in one of the scenes in the movie.

One of the tweets read: “Hey @ReallySwara just watched #VeerDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when the masturabation scene came on screen. as we came out of the theatre my grandmother said “I’m Hindustan and I am ashamed of #VeerDiWedding (sic)”.

However, it turned out that three hours after Priya shared the tweet, Twitter users Firkiii, Hridaan, Amit Gorai and Mitron, uploaded the same tweet word-by-word, tagging the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor along with Swara.

However, this also prompted people to question why grandmothers were firstly taken to a movie which revolved around an adult theme. The promos of the film also clearly conveyed the fact that it was an adult movie. A section of audience also came to her rescue and added comments which the Raanjhanaa actress re-tweeted with ROFL emoticons.

There was yet another funny tweet from user Joy Das, who said, “For some weird reasons, people who can’t spell “Masturbation” are going to watch #VeereDiWedding with their Grandmothers and want answers from @ReallySwara (sic).”

Another user Karthik said: For some inexplicable reason, there seems to be a tremendous demand for Veere Di Wedding among Indian grandmothers, regardless of their alleged, consistent (word-to-word consistent!) opinion after the film.”

A Twitter user also reminded Swara that she must thank the grandmothers who went to watch her film, instead of John Abraham’s Parmanu.

Finally, Swara came back with a fitting reply to silence the identical trolls.

And this is not the first time Swara is getting trolled for the film. Earlier, she was also trolled for a dress she wore for the promotion of the film.
