Rucha Pathak, the Chief Creative Officer of Fox Star Studios, explained the reason behind the change. “AR Rahman, who is composing the music, shared a vibrant and fun number, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. When we heard the song, we found our title in it. It perfectly embodies the theme of our film,” according to HT.
Talking about the title change, Rajput said “It’s a better title in terms of relatability with the narrative of the film. When you see the film you will understand that when you are in love you don’t think logically which is not wrong and is actually required and right. And the title Dil Bechara works for the film and is more creative.”
The movie features newcomer Sanjana Sanghi as the female lead. It has been reported that Saif Ali Khan will be playing a cameo in the film. The actor was in Paris shooting for the movie. He will be essaying the role played by William Dafoe in the original.
The Fault in Our Stars revolved around two cancer afflicted teenagers. The movie, based on a 2012 novel by John Green, was directed by Josh Boone and featured Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort in the lead roles. The movie which released in 2014 went on to become a huge hit.
Director Mukesh Chhabra, who directs the remake was called out during the shooting of the remake. However, the studio gave him a clean chit following an investigation. “Further to an internal inquiry by Fox Star India it was proved that the allegations against Mukesh had no merit to them,” says DC.
The movie is currently in its post-production stage and will hit theatres soon.
