Singam 3 (S3) has Actor Suriya reprising his role as Police Officer Durai Singam. The film is nearing completion with the team reportedly heading to Malaysia to shoot some key sequences. “The team along with Suriya leaves on Friday (26 Aug) to Malaysia. It will be a two-week schedule and they will shoot some important sequences apart from a major action block. Apart from this schedule, the team has one more song to shoot,” a source told IANS. The rest of the film was shot in Vishakapatnam and Chennai.

Directed by Hari, Singam 3 stars Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty in major roles. Hindi television serial actor Thakur Anoop Singh, who played Dhritarashtra in the Hindi television adaptation of Mahabharatha, is the latest to be signed on to the film, and will play the villain. Actor Vivekh, who played Inspector Erimalai in the first two films, will not be reprising his role in Singham 3 as ‘the role is not meaty enough‘.
The music for the film will be composed by Harris Jayaraj. Jayaraj takes over from Devi Sri Prasad who had composed the score for the first two films in the Singham franchise.
Bankrolled by Studio Green’s KE Gnanavel Raja, the film is slated for a Diwali release. Filming began earlier this year.
