Actress Raai Laxmi announced on Twitter that the last schedule of director Vadivudaiyan’s Sowkarpettai has commenced in the city. Sources close to the production unit revealed that the movie would hit the screens sometime in October. The official release date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Both, Srikanth and Raai Laxmi, will be seen in dual roles in this horror comedy. Srikanth will be playing a guy called Vetrivel and an Aghori. The actor had to apply mud on his face, and do some amount of research to do justice to the role of the aghori.
Starring Vivek, Saravanan, Sampath Raj, Suman, Kovai Sarala, Vadivukarasi and Singampuli in important roles, Sowkarpettai is produced by Shalom Studios. Music director John Peter has scored the music for the film. Sri Thenandal Films has bagged the theatrical rights of the movie.
