SJ Suryah-Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Uyarndha Manithan’ To Start Shoot On March 20

SJ Suryah, who was last seen as the antagonist in Atlee’s Mersal, plays one of the leads with Amitabh Bachchan in the Tamil-Hindi bilingual Uyarndha Manithan, directed by T Tamilvaanan. The actor recently announced that shoot for the film will commence on March 20.

According to Times Of India, Amitabh Bachchan, who is making his debut in Tamil with Uyarndha Manithan, has given a call sheet of forty days for the film. This was also confirmed by actor SJ Suryah on his twitter handle.

Talking about casting Big B, the director said in a press statement, “What else can I ask for? This is more than a dream come true for me to have the country’s most celebrated superstar Amitabh Bachchan sir  onboard… Moreover, the greater dream of directing Big B sir coming true through SJ Suryah sir, has made me very excited.”

SJ Suryah also said that it was his dream to work with the actor, and he was both excited and nervous to share screen space with him. He said, “Even before I ventured into showbiz as an assistant director, I craved for this moment to work with him.”

The project is Suryah’s Bollywood debut. The film marks the second time collaboration of the actor-director duo after Kalavanin Kaadhali. 

Meanwhile, it is reported that Raghava Lawrence will soon approach Suryah for the Hindi remake of Kanchana. The director wants him to reprise the role of Sarathkumar.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan awaits the release of Badla, which also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead. The actor is shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra which has Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy playing important roles.
