In a rare coincidence, films with three generations of actors from the same family will be releasing on the same day. Vikram Prabhu’s Idhu Enna Maayam, Prabhu’s Sakalakalavallavan, and Sivaji Ganesan’s Veerapandiya Kattabomman are all being released on July 31. Veerapandiya Kattabomman is being re-released in digital format.

The AL Vijay directorial Idhu Enna Maayam stars Vikram Prabhu and Keerthi Suresh in the lead. The supporting cast includes Kavya Shetty, Navdeep, Nasser, Ambika, and RJ Balaji. , The film also has on board music director GV Prakash.
Sakalakalavallavan is an action-comedy with Anjali and Trisha in the lead. With music scored by S Thaman, actors Soori, Prabhu, Vivek, Ashvin Raja, and Naan Kadavul Rajendran form the supporting cast.
Following the success of digitally restored films like Karnan and Aayirathil Oruvan, the award-winning 1959 classic Veerapandiya Kattabomman is also being re-released.
