Siddharth Has Three Looks In ‘Aruvam’; Teaser Is Out

Siddharth will reportedly be seen in three looks in his upcoming film Aruvam, co-starring Catherine Tresa. The teaser for the horror-thriller released recently.

The film is written and directed by Sai Sekhar. The teaser features many action scenes by Siddharth, who plays a food safety officer. India Glitz reports that he will be seen in three looks featuring three phases of his character’s life.

The actor shared the teaser on Twitter and said, “Aruvam is a massy film with an important message. It is a high octane action film with lots of surprising, thrilling elements.”

Director Sai Sekar, a former associate of Bhoopathy Pandian, said in a press statement, “Aruvam will be a complete shift into an unexplored zone of this genre. It is a horror film laced with action, romance and entertainment.”

About the title of the film, he said, “It is the opposite of ‘body’, and as the title implies, the central theme of the film is based on supernatural elements.”

He told Silverscreen, “We have revealed Siddharth’s two looks in the teaser. The third one is a suspense, although they won’t be entirely different from each other.”

The story is about investigating and proving supernatural happenings, the film is also said to deal with issues that we face in our daily lives. He said, “Siddharth plays a food safety officer and that is a clue to the kind of issues the film addresses.”

The director said that Siddharth and Catherine Tresa have preformed some difficult scenes effortlessly. Satish, Kabir Duhan Singh, Madhusudhana Rao, Stunt Silva, Poster Nandakumar, Satish, Aadukalam Naren, Kumaravel and Mayilsamy play important roles in the film.

Music for the film is by SS Thaman, cinematography is by NK Ekhambaram, editing is by Praveen KL and G Durairaj is the art director. In addition to playing one of the villains in the film, Stunt Silva is the choreographer of action sequences. R Ravindran of Trident Arts has produced the film.

Post-production work is complete and the film is expected to release in July.

This is Siddharth’s next horror thriller after director Milind Rau’s Aval (2017). He is currently busy with many films under production, including director Sasi’s Sivappu Manjal Pachai co-starring GV Prakash, Karthik Krish’s Shaitaan Ka Bachcha, and the upcoming web-series Leila by Deepa Mehta.

Catherine Tresa, who was recently seen in Neeya 2, has the Malayalam film Aanenkilum Allenkilum co-starring Fahadh Faasil, and the Telugu film Break Up under production.
