Kappal filmmaker Karthik G Krish is all set for the release of his next film with actor Siddharth, Saithan Ka Bachcha. The duo have now announced a second film that they completed together called Takkar.
The film’s shooting has been completed, and is in post-production. The film is being touted as a romantic action drama. The making of the movie was kept low-key and the announcement came as a surprise.
Speaking to the press about the secrecy around the project, Karthi G Krish said, “We did this deliberately. Our entire team was in on the making of the project. The shooting began in February. And we’re almost done with the post-production, The film will release in January 2020.”
The story of Takkar was narrated while the actor-director duo were on the sets of Saithan Ka Bachcha. Karthik says, “I narrated the gist of Takkar to Siddharth and he immediately asked me to develop it into full-fledged script.”

Producer duo Sudhan and Jayaram from Passion Studios who made Kappal are producing Takkar as well. Takkar stars Divyansha Kaushik as the female lead. Speaking about the lead actors Karthik said, “The story is about two egoistic and hot-tempered characters, whose lives go through transformations after encountering each other.”
The others in the cast include Abhimanyu Singh, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth and RJ Vignesh. Takkar has Nivas K Prasanna composing music and Vaanjinathan Murugesan handling cinematography. The film is edited by Ga Gowtham and features art work by Udaya Kumar. The lyrics have been penned by Umadevi, Ku Karthik and Arivarasu. Dinesh Kasi was in charge of stunts.
