At the success meet of his film, Vallavanukku Pullum Ayutham, Santhanam confirmed that he will begin shooting his next movie in August. And Aashna Zaveri, the VPA heroine, might star in this one as well, he said. “I shared a good chemistry with her in VPA…and the director will be Muruganandh who worked with me in Lollu Sabha. I will be playing the lead in the movie and produce it as well.” In VPA style, the next movie might also see him rough up a few baddies. “If the script demands, I shall not hesitate to do fight sequences and other elements of commercial cinema,” he added.

Speaking to Silverscreen later, Santhanam divulged his long-term plans for his production banner. “I intend producing two movies a year under my banner, Hand Made Films. This is an opportunity for me to showcase the talented team that I had worked with in Lollu Sabha,” he revealed.
Confirming his involvement in Lingaa, Santhanam said that besides providing comic relief, his role is pivotal to the script. And also, he awaits an opportunity to work with Kamal Haasan. “I have worked with almost every leading actor in the industry but Kamal sir. I eagerly await the opportunity to work with him,” he signed off.
