Varun Tej, whose recent film Mister was not successful at the box office, is currently shooting for Fida with Sai Pallavi. While neither Sankal nor Varun have confirmed their collaboration, a Times of India report suggests that an official announcement will be made soon.
“After completing both these projects, the actor will commence Sankalp’s project later this year,” reports DC.
Ghazi released early this year, with the director lauded for portraying the first ever war-at-sea film starring Rana Daggubati, Taapse Pannu, and Kay Kay Menon. The film is about the mysterious sinking of a Pakistan submarine, the PNS Ghazi, during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The crew had created two submarine prototypes for the shoot.
