Samuthirakani May Play Antagonist In The Tamil Remake Of ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’

Samuthirakani, who has been approached for a role in the Tamil remake of Maheshinte Prathikaram, may play the antagonist in the movie. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, director Priyadarshan wants Samuthirakani to play ‘Jimson’ in the Tamil remake of the Fahadh Faasil starrer.

“The actor is in talks to play a role with grey shades. But, Samuthirakani hasn’t finalised anything so far. He is figuring out his dates, so he could join hands with director Priyadarshan yet again,” a source has told the DC.

Samuthirakani had earlier collaborated with Priyadarshan on last year’s Oppam, starring Mohanlal.

Last week, Udhayanidhi Stalin had announced that he would team up with Priyadarshan, in what the director later confirmed as the Tamil remake of Maheshinte Prathikaaram.

Samuthirakani, whose directorial Thondan released two weeks ago, is currently shooting for Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai starring Dhanush. He also has the Malayalam remake of Appa titled Aakasha Mittayi in the pipeline. The actor is also shooting for Pa Ranjith’s Kaala starring Rajinikanth, and has completed shooting his portions for Soundarya Rajinikanth’s VIP2.
