Director Manimaran of Pugazh fame will start shooting for his next film, titled, Sanga Thalaivan, which will have Samuthirakani in the lead role. The shoot of the film, which is produced by Vetri Maaran, will commence from November.
Manimaran told Silverscreen, “Samuthirakani is the hero and Karunaas will play a pivotal role. This film is about the life of handloom weavers. Samuthirakani will essay the role of a union leader, hence the title, Sanga Thalaivan. We are planning to shoot from November 15.”
After Appa, Samuthirakani has been taking up lead roles. He is also the hero in Vijay Milton’s Golisoda 2 and he is also playing a pivotal role in Rajinikanth starrer Kaala.
Manimaran had earlier directed Udhayam NH4 with Siddharth, Poriyalan with Harish Kalyan and Pugazh with Jai.
