Aditi Rao Hydari is all set for her Telugu debut with Sammohanam, starring Sudheer Babu as the male lead. While the film is slated for release in June 15, the makers of the film have released the official trailer.
Touted to be a love story, Sammohanam is a coming-of-age love story which involves comedy and drama. The trailer proves it right. The story also explores the romantic attraction between two lovers, making the title Sammohanam apt for the movie.
In the trailer, we see Sudheer Babu as an aspiring cartoonist who hates the world of cinema and believes it as the world of lies. In his own words “the glamour, the words they utter and even their acting is a big lie”. He is a free-spirited soul who wants to make children happy with his drawings. Until he finds Aditi Rao’s character, a big-time actress, attractive and eventually they fall in love. But as time passes there arises some disputes between the couple and Sudheer disowns Aditi Rao.

The trailer takes the audience through scenes of light-hearted comedy and songs that feature both the actors under snowy hilltops and valleys. Sudheer Babu is known for his hit films like Prema Katha Chitram, Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini, Bhale Manchi Roju and Shamanthakamani. While Aditi Rao who is marking her Telugu debut was last seen in the Hindi release Daas Dev, she’s currently working in Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
Written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Mohanakrishna Indraganti, the cast of Sammohanam includes Naresh, Tanikella Bharani, Pavithra Lokesh, Rahul Ramakrishna and Nandu in pivotal roles. The film has music by Vivek Sagar and will be bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. PG Vinda is the cinematographer.
