Actress Samantha will join the cast of Vetrimaaran’s upcoming film Vada Chennai. The film already has actor Dhanush on board, and is expected to rope in a number of stars in the coming weeks. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Vetrimaaran had decided to cast Samantha two years ago, after he first heard the story while he shooting for Pollathavan.
Vetrimaaran also said that Vada Chennai would be a gangster film set in North Chennai. Shooting will commence by September or October. This will be Samantha’s second film with Dhanush, after Velraj’s VIP 2. The actress is currently awaiting the release of a number of films, including Puli, 10 Enradhukulla, Suriya’s 24, Dhanush’s 24, and the Bangalore Days remake.
