It’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan versus Dangal at the China’s box office. This Salman Khan starrer has finally hit the screens in China, and is creating ripples in the market.
Over two years after releasing in India, Bajrangi Bhaijaan got off to a flying start in China by raking in Rs 18 crores, reports IANS.
This film is about a man who reunites a Pakistani girl lost in India with her family by crossing the tension-riddled border between the two countries.
The movie – Salman’s first ever to release in China where Aamir Khan’s entertainers are the biggest Bollywood attractions – released there on Friday. According to China’s box office, the film beat the first day collections of Aamir Khan’s Dangal in the country. However, it fell short of Aamir’s last release in China, Secret Superstar, which had reportedly earned Rs 40 crores on its opening day.

Overall, Dangal has earned over Rs 1,000 crores in China and became the highest-grossing Indian movie there. Over the years, the craze for Bollywood films grows there. Secret Superstar had collected well over Rs 750 crores there.
Meanwhile, as of March 3, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has already crossed Rs 25 crores along with a good response from the audience. “India has always been about style, the story reveals the human nature of the true good, the world peace. Worth promoting,” wrote Lareina Yang, a user on the Chinese ticketing website Maoyan.
