According to IE, Sai Pallvi turned down the offer as the actress barely used cosmetic products. “I don’t endorse beauty products. You need to be confident about who you are and your skin colour,” she has been quoted saying in the past.

Sai Pallavi, who made her debut with the 2015 film Premam, gained attention for appearing on screen without hiding her pimples.

The actress is basking in the success of her Malayalam film Athiran. The movie marked her comeback to Malayalam three years after appearing alongside Dulquer Salman in Kali. The movie is set in a hospital in Ooty, and stars Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni and others. Directed by debutant Vivek, the film has been pitched as a psychological thriller.

Since Balaji Mohan’s Maari 2, Sai Pallavi has been working on many projects in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Athiran’s producers announced last week that it will also release in Tamil and Telugu, considering the popularity of both the leads.

Sai Pallavi meanwhile is likely to make her Kannada debut with director Prem’s upcoming film Ek Love Ya. Director Prem recently revealed the poster of the film. The title, which can be read as Eklavya or Ek Love Ya, has created a buzz among his fans. The tagline reads ‘love is all you need’, and has been promoted as a romantic film based on a true story.

The actress is currently awaiting the release of Selvaraghavan’s NGK opposite Suriya. The movie features Suriya in the role of an aspiring politician. NGK was scheduled to release during Deepavali last year, but got delayed because of the director’s health issues. Rakul Preet plays the other female lead in the film. Bala Singh, Mansoor Ali Khan, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Sarath Kumar and Jagapathi Babu play supporting roles.
