Her film NGK directed by Selvaraghavan, co-starring Suriya and Rakul Preet Singh, released yesterday, and she is also awaiting the release of Virata Parvam 1992 in Telugu.

Meanwhile, the shoot for the mega-budget RRR is on. The film stars Alia Bhatt opposite Ram Charan in the lead, and Ajay Devgn in an important role. In March, Hollywood actress Daisy Edgar Jones came on board as the second female lead. However, she left the film before shoot for her portions could begin in April, citing personal reasons. The filmmakers also announced the news on Twitter.

Following this, it was reported that Nithya Menen and Parineeti Chopra were approached to play the role, and speculations about Sai Pallavi being part of the film began doing the rounds this week.

The film is currently being shot at an aluminium factory in the outskirts of Hyderabad, for Jr NTR’s action sequences. He suffered a fracture on his right wrist while filming in Gujarat, so the film was reportedly halted for a month. Despite this, the team said that things were on track. It is also said that Rajamouli has planned the current schedule with enough breaks so as to not overwork NTR.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan is also injured and has a sprained ankle. He is reportedly on a vacation in Africa with his family, and is expected to join the sets in the second week of June.

The film is set in the 1920s and is a fictitious account of the lives of Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. It is said to narrate their stories before they became freedom fighters. Director SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Rao is the screenwriter. The film is produced by DVV Danayya, reportedly on a budget of Rs 300 crore. KK Senthil is the cinematographer, Sabu Cyril is the art director, and MM Keeravani is the music composer. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor for the film.
