Ram’s assistant director Amudhavan told Silverscreen that Ram and his team are good friends with Siddharth, who also watched Peranbu with them and attended the audio launch. “But, there no talks with him for a film. We were surprised to read reports about this. Director Ram is busy with script work and research for his next, and an announcement about this will be made in a few months’ time.”

Ram, the director of Kattradhu Thamizh, Thanga Meenkal and Tharamani, will also be seen as an actor in Mysskin’s upcoming Psycho. His last directorial was Peranbu, starring Mammootty, Sadhana, Anjali, Anjali Ameer, and others. The film did the festival circuit, and released in theatres to critical and commercial success, in Tamil and Malayalam, in February this year.

The film was recently censored with a U certificate. Siddharth stars as a traffic police officer, and GV Prakash plays a bike racer. Lijomol Jose and Kashmira Pardeshi are also a part of the the film.

Actor Siddharth was recently seen in the Hindi Netflix series Leila with Huma Qureshi, directed by Deepa Mehta, Pawan Kumar and Shanker Raman. He is filming for the multi-starrer Hindi movie Chichhore directed by Nitesh Tiwari, featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty and Nalneesh Nee.
