The blaring sound of the police sirens, the racy background music, and the sound of bones and teeth breaking – the teaser of Ram Gopal Varma’s action film Officer is out, featuring a rather fit Nagarjuna Akkineni who clearly appears to defy age.

A righteous police officer, Nagarjuna’s character is from Hyderabad who is now working in Mumbai as he has been given a job that must be finished. The job is to take up the case of Mumbai’s most powerful cop, Pasari. Car chases begin, police encounters happen, and shots are fired. We get glimpses of Nagarjuna relentlessly pursuing the villain throughout the one-minute teaser.
The two have previously collaborated in critically-acclaimed Telugu films Shiva and Govinda Govinda. The film also stars newcomer Myra Sareen, who will be making her Telugu debut with this film. Produced by Sudheer Chandra and Ram Gopal Varma under his banner Company, Officer is slated for a May 25 release.
