Rajinikanth’s next movie with director Pa.Ranjith was confirmed through a press release issued by the actor’s PRO earlier this afternoon. This untitled film is to be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, and will see the Madras team back in action.
The female lead and the other cast for the movie are yet to be finalized, but on the technical front, Ranjith seems to have brought back his usual team: Music director Santhosh Narayanan, editor Praveen KL and cinematographer Murali G.

What surprised us about the announcement is that, Ranjith, who in his previous movies showcased the nativity of Chennai and its suburbs, has chosen to go international with this one. The filming begins in August with a 60-day schedule in Malaysia, followed by other locations such as Hong Kong, Thailand and Chennai.
