Rajamouli To Join Hands With Mahesh Babu For A Bilingual

According to reports, Rajamouli will join hands with Mahesh Babu for a bilingual. Expected to start in 2020, the project will mark the actor’s debut in Hindi.

Reports began doing the rounds from as early as October 2017 that the Baahubali director would helm a project featuring Mahesh Babu in the lead. Back then, the movie was supposed to begin by December this year or January next year.

However, Rajamouli recently announced his new project RRR – a family action movie starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR and began shooting for the movie earlier this month. It is believed that the director would revive the Mahesh Babu project once he is done with RRR that is scheduled to release during the occasion of Sankranthi in 2020.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for Vamsi Padiapally’s Maharshi. Starring Pooja Hegde in the female lead, Maharshi is jointly produced by  C. Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju and Prasad V. Potluri, under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. The movie is planned for an April 2019 release.

The Bharat Ane Nenu star will then move on to the yet-to-be titled film that will be directed by Sukumar. Only following the completion of these two projects can the actor begin work on Rajamouli’s film. The Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu film would be produced by KL Narayana under the banner of Sri Durga Arts. The cast and crew for the movie have not yet been divulged.

Meanwhile, the launch of Rajamouli’s new film tentatively titled RRR was attended by his Baahubali actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. The first clap for the movie was given by Chiranjeevi. The formal shoot of the movie began on November 19 with the canning of a fight scene between Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Made on a rumoured budget of Rs.300 crores, RRR is being produced by DVV Danayya.
